Still November

The snow is falling and it's in the upper 20s. I have go out there and put up a ladder on somebody's garage to install a light - once I work up the courage.

But in my mind, I'm sitting in the courtyard of the Kingston Brewing Company with my mates. It's late summer. We're tired and sweaty, downing cold beers and teasing the waitress. Because soon it will be November and cold and dark and I'll be trying to keep my fingers warm while turning a tiny screw...

November morning

It's awfully white outside.

And I'm in denial... looking at bike parts on the internet. 

Who am I kidding? I ain't no winter rider. Not since that day I drifted sideways, slowly down the hill on Clinton Ave. So. on a sheet of ice as I watched a ballet of drifting cars, bicycle and body not knowing where that deadly dance would end. 

But end my winter riding, it did.
